Erin bachelorette challenge: Week 1

Activities: Week 1
Group date: Dance party-each guy got 30 minutes to dance with Erin
One on one time: Friendly chats-I had Erin do 3 friendly chat prompts to get the notice up to 'sociable' after that I let them go to see what would happen. I ended the guy's time when either of them tried to walk away or do something else, usually Erin would turn on the radio and at that point the guy was sent out of the date room and the next guy was brought in.
As stated in the intro, this update will have a double elimination.

***

Watching this show on TV is much easier than being on it. Hope had told me things sometimes got bad, but I had no idea. I missed home and wanted nothing more than to call and talk to Mom or Hope. I really needed to talk to Grace, but I couldn't. I'd signed up for this, 6 weeks of my life to hopefully find Mr. Right.

Brenton and I had gotten off to a bad start the first day but I was hopeful things would improve. He found me the next morning and we started having a pleasant conversation about the comic book characters. We disagreed on who made the better superhero, but I thought it was all in fun until he yelled at me.

He started going off about how vampires, like Superman, have a weakness that is easy to exploit where as Batman did not. He was really angry about it and his outburst was a bit off-putting. After he stormed off, I decided to shower and steady my nerves a bit before meeting up with the other guys.

Marty found me outside, still in his pajamas. I barely heard what he said as I watched his muscles ripple when he moved. He was a very animated talker and I didn't mind looking at him all day. It certainly took my mind off my run in with Brenton.

Mars joined us and he was sweet asking if I slept well and how my day was going. He had that gentlemen vibe going for him and I liked it.

The guys milled about a bit while I had a brief meeting with Taryn about the week's activities. It consisted of a group activity of my choosing and some one on one time with each guy to be done over the course of the week before elimination time on Friday. Since I got to pick I decided on a dance party. It's said you can tell how good a guy will be in bed based off how well he dances. Breaking the guys up into groups of 5 I set about spending roughly thirty minutes dancing with each guy. Group 1 was Cal, Fidel, Gabe, Brenton, and Mickey.

Fidel was the first to take a turn. He'd been kinda quiet and hadn't really done much talking to me and luckily so far, hadn't slapped anyone. Maybe he wasn't like Peyton afterall. He had decent moves, but he was a bit stiff. Not sure if it was because he was nervous with the other guys around or not, but at least he didn't step on my toes so I count that as a win.

Brenton went next. Since our blow up on day two, he hadn't really said much to me, but he smiled and enjoyed our dance. He kept rhythm to the beat and showed me a few great moves. When his time was up he smiled and complimented me on my dancing. Maybe he just wasn't a morning person and that hot-headed temper of his got the best of him.

Gabe was the next guy and he could move. I wanted to just stand back and watch him go. He heated up the dance floor and me. I almost told him he needed to get his hose out and dose the flames, but I refrained. Especially if he used his hose like he used his hips, we'd be a raging inferno.

Cal had big shoes to follow up after that, and he manged to do just that. He was light on his feet, moving to the beat as he danced close to me. He wore that cute grin of his the whole time making it easy to tell he was having a good time.

Mickey was last. He also was a quiet one, but since the other guys had filtered away after their dance, it was just the two of us for his time. Not having others around to watch him seemed to help. He kept a proper distance, but still moved in sync with me. Over all I was impressed by all the guys and their moves. I had an hour break to rest before moving on to group 2.

Marty was first up for that group. The whole time we danced I just thought about how I wished he was shirtless for this. He was a guy that was really in shape and I had no shame in admitting I liked looking at him. He was a little reserved with his dancing, but I think under different circumstances he'd let loose a bit more.

Bert came next. He smiled and started off a bit awkwardly, sadly he stepped on my toes once, but apologized. I think he was nervous and probably should have gone last. After a few minutes he got into it and showed he was more than just the quiet guy.

Silvan was eager to show me what he could do. With a history like his, I had no doubt he knew how to please a woman on and off the dance floor. He wore a seductive smile the whole time we danced, he knew exactly what this activity was designed for and he was going to make sure I was not disappointed.

King followed that performance and although he wasn't as flashy, he still held his own. Every move he made meant something. He was skilled and coordinated and showed me a good time.

Mars rounded out the group. He had this way about him, he took the lead, but at the same time he was always very aware of what I was doing and he'd take his ques from that. Considerate, that was a great quality to have.

For the rest of the day, we mingled and eventually all gathered outside. Marty came to talk to me about music and we discussed the upcoming new releases coming out. Over the course of the rest of the week, I found time to talk to each guy alone. Most of the talks went smoothly.

King even took the time to flirt a bit with me. He was a nice guy and I could see myself hanging out with someone like him. Some of the talks started out okay, but took a bad turn. Fidel accused me of possibly turning into some horrible blood-sucking beast.

I was again confronted about being a vampire. One of those even came from the most unlikely source. Bert, who was like me, talked down to me about it. I'd not even told him I wasn't quite the vegan vamp he was, yet he seemed angry none the less. It was a bit heart breaking to have what I was thrown in my face.

Brenton's was the worst. I tried to be nice and started with something easy, the weather, but it went south quickly. He started in on how any woman that came on a show like this wouldn't make a good mother because her priorities weren't straight. I had no clue what the hell he meant and I took major offense considering Hope had been on this show and she is a damn good mother. I let him know that and he just scoffed in my face. I didn't understand why he was so angry all the time, but he was. I don't think I'd ever seen Jonas angry, well outside of that situation with Patrick, but it was never directed at Grace. He was the sweetest man I knew and I was shocked at how differently Brenton acted.

Cal's talk was fun as he like to tell jokes and that helped lift my spirits. I needed that after my talk with Brenton. Plus the fact I got Cal before he got dressed for the day helped. Damn he was nice to look at with clothes, but half naked was even better!

Friday came and the guys had until 5 pm to interact with me then I had an hour to deliberate my choices.

The first one would be a double elimination.

Cal in the top spot.

Followed closely by Marty.

Mickey took third place.

Mars

King

Gabe

Bert

Fidel

Silvan

Lastly Brenton

First to go was Brenton. We just were not getting along.

Next one that I didn't click as much with was Silvan.

I knew he was on a quest to redeem himself and find his true love, but it would not be with me. Two gone. I felt bad about sending away Silvan, Brenton, not so much. I looked forward to see what the next week brought.

**A/N**
So first elimination done. I have no clue what was up with Brenton. That first conversation he started out nicely enough then went into exploit weakness.  I can't even remember what he accused her of in the one on one chat that gave a baby bottle bubble. LOL Once I got them to sociable and let them go, he started arguing and they kept doing so until Erin walked away.

I was really surprised by the vampire accusation that came from Bert. I mean he is one, why would he get mad about her being one???

Marty and Erin's favorite past time seems to be showing off their teeth. It's crazy but hey whatever works right?

Also Taryn does not really live in the house. When I sent Erin to the store in the intro to stock up on plasma fruit she came home with Taryn in her relationship panel, guess she was the cashier. I made her the 'host' like person that you see on those bachelor shows.

Erin bachelorette challenge: Meeting the guys

I woke up feeling refreshed, but nervous. I headed into the bathroom to get ready for the day. In a few hours I would meet the men I'd be spending the next several weeks with. After reading up on each of them, I was happy to see there was just a variety of men that had applied. They were each so different and I loved the idea of getting to know so many unique guys. Most of the guys in Barnacle Bay were the same. Small town guys whose families had been there for years. They were nice, but kinda boring. None of the guys I would be meeting today sounded boring at all.

I got a chance to talk to Mom and Dad one last time, Dad told me it was not too late to back out and come home. He actually preferred I did just that, but he'd have to get over it. One would think with Grace and Hope both married and Carter a single father, that Dad would be used to this by now. When the call was done, Taryn, my 'handler', chick took my phone. I was officially cut off. She would be around if I needed anything, and was the one in charge of making sure all the activities were on schedule. It was still weird to think I was in a house that had cameras hidden everywhere but the bathrooms. Talk about 'big brother' watching your every move.

I had about an hour to myself before the first guy was set to arrive so I spent it testing out the gaming system the house had. Thanks to Dad, I was a pro at most of the games and I had no doubt I'd run circles around the guys. Fifteen minutes before the first guy was due, Taryn came to 'pretty' me up more which meant the make-up artist tried to kill me with power. It was show time. The guys were set to arrive ten minutes apart. That way each guy got a chance to introduce themselves and tell me one thing that wasn't in the bio. First to arrive was Bert Windfall.

Bio:
Age: 38
Bert is one of 6 children and a vampire. His parents divorced after 100 years of marriage. His father had a bit of a wandering eye, among other body parts, and after his half-sister, Faith, was born his mom finally decided she'd had enough. Bert is a widower, having lost his wife a few years back to electrocution. Bert is a good guy looking to settle down and start a family.

With us both being vamps, that would give us something in common to talk about. I remember Caleb's time on the show, I hope I don't run into the same accusations those ladies kept throwing at him. It's not like we can help what we are anymore than they can help being what they are. He looked just like his picture. One of my fears was that the guys had used old pictures of them during better years like some of the guys from the online dating sites. Bert, however, had not and that was a relief.

He gave me a large smile when he saw me. Reaching for my hand, I thought he was going to shake it, but instead he kissed my knuckles. He was a gentleman, Dad should like that.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Erin."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well. You wanna tell me a little about yourself?"

"Um, one thing not in the bio...I'm a vegan vampire. I don't drink from humans or animals, strictly the engineered stuff for me."

"Oh...do drink from other vamps?" I'd experimented with that in college and really liked it.

"Nope, never."

"Well good thing the producers have a fully stocked bar of plasma juices and fruits for you."

He smiled again, it was a nice smile, before heading into the house. I didn't mind the plasma options, but I did like drinking right from the source at times as well. I wondered how he'd feel about that.

Next bachelor was Cal Matthews. Damn! His picture didn't do him justice. He...was...hot!!! I hoped he'd be like Caleb, and walk around shirtless, A LOT!

Bio:
Age 32
Cal Matthews was born and raised in the northern city of Bridgeport. The youngest of a family of 6, 5 girls and 1 boy, he learned quickly how to make himself stand out in a crowd. He accomplished his goal by never backing down from a challenge; the crazier the better. Always the class clown, Cal has a sense of humor that could bring anyone to tears. But he also has a softer side and is a great listener. Thanks to the number of women in his household, Cal’s a great cook, knows how to knit a sweater and can take care of house.

A man that looks good, can cook and make me laugh. He sounded almost too good to be true. He was a warlock, and that made me think of Grandma Sha. Being a bit on the childish side at times, she loved to cast joke spells on us.

He had the cutest boyish grin and dimples. He was very yummy indeed and looked nothing like the guys from Barnacle Bay. He had that bad boy vibe with the tattoo and long hair.

"Erin, my queen of the night. Already reading my mind," he said with a wink.

"What?" I asked laughing.

"Blue, it's my favorite color. Your shirt reminds me of the ocean. And baby, I want to get lost at sea."

I laughed hard at the cheesiness of that line. I could already hear Dad having a fit when this aired.

"Well, I aim to please."

"I think it's meant to be," he replied giving me a lopsided grin before heading into the house.

Cal was certainly confident and full of life, made me wonder why he came on a show like this, he couldn't have problems getting women.

I took a few deep breaths to recompose myself before meeting the next bachelor, Marty Wood.

Bio:

Age 28
Marty is a werewolf originally from Moonlight Falls but now makes his home in Aurora Skies. He likes to play computer games, play guitar, helps his father with his crazy inventions and no one is to ever call this brave man a chicken. He is truly a man born way ahead of his time.  Marty has never been popular with the ladies and he is looking for just the right lady to fill his lonely nights with love.

A werewolf was a fun addition to the house. My experience with was limited to Hope's in-laws. Sandi and Starr were both nice and it was probably wrong of me to say, but Wolfie was a hottie even though he was old enough to be my grandfather. Knowing Marty would have those same great genes was exciting. I couldn't believe I'd never met him when I went to visit Hope. When he stepped out of the car my eyes were drawn to his broad shoulders.

Wolves were always known to be in shape and that was a good thing. I had a weakness for rock hard abs and well defined arms. Spending time in the pool to gawk at all these guys was high on my to-do list.

"You are a vision of beauty."

"Flattery will get you everywhere," I replied with a giggle. Oh yeah this was gonna be fun.

"I'll be sure to remember that. So, I'm supposed to tell you some deep dark secret."

"Yeah, something like that."

"Well, behind this handsome face lies the heart of a little geek. Astronomy is my hidden passion. There is so much in the universe we don't know about and I just love discovering new things."

The way he looked me up and down made me think those things didn't necessarily have to do with the stars. Mom always said it was great to learn and I'd be happy to have him teach me a thing or two.

Next contestant to arrive was Mickey Seaworth. He had an interesting story as he came from a family of mermaids, but the gene skipped him.

Bio:

Age 31
He grew up in Isla Paradiso with two sisters and his parents, so he knows what it's like living with women surrounding him! The plot of land his parents bought before he was born is right by the sea, and from a very young age he got used to being on the beach, in hot weather, ready to go for a swim whenever he wanted. He may not be as natural at swimming and deep-sea diving as his mermaid sister and mermaid father, but he caught on pretty quickly regardless with teachers like that. He had a secret crush on the same girl all throughout college but never said anything. Watching her date and eventually marry someone else made him realize life was too short. He's now grabbing life by the horns and trying to find his one true love.

The first thing I noticed about Mickey were his light gray eyes. I don't know why, but they just drew me in. Next was his friendly smile.

His bio said he liked to swim, and his muscular legs and arms were proof of this. I wondered if I could talk to Taryn and make it a rule that all the guys had to be shirtless for the duration of the taping. I'm sure she'd probably tell me no, something about sexism and blah blah blah stuff, but still it was a crime to have these guys covered up.

"I've never met a vampire before."

"No worries, I only bite if you want me to."

Of the guys that arrived so far, he was the first one to seem nervous. He gave a little laugh at my joke and appeared to relax a bit.

"Um, on the car ride over I kept thinking about what to tell you. I pretty much put everything in my bio."

"I'm sure there is a lot more to you than a couple of paragraphs," I said smiling.

"Yeah, right, um...I am a film buff. I like old movies the best, the classics, but will watch just about anything."

"Fun. I like romantic comedies the best followed by the action packed action film."

He smiled learning we might have things in common. Mickey seemed like a sweet guy, and I looked forward to getting to know him better.

Of the guy's I'd read up on last night, bachelor #5 was the most surprising name. Brenton Solo. The only family I'd met of Jonas' was his grandmother and great-grandfather at Grace's wedding. Brenton was Jonas' cousin, although the two of them aren't very close since Jonas moved away when he was just a toddler.

Bio:

Age 38
Born to a human father and fairy mother. Brenton has felt like the outsider in the family being the only human among the fairies. His father died when he was just a teenager. Brenton has always had an interest in other life-states with a particular interest in vampires. Living in Dragon Valley now, he likes to spend his free time working on fixing up old cars. He finds quiet comfort around the mechanics as it helps keep his temper in check.

The first thing I noticed when he stepped out of the car was the family resemblance to Jonas. The Solo men were another bunch with great genes. Brenton might be the only guy here that Dad would probably have the easiest time approving simply by his relation to Jonas and how he'd helped Grace.

I however, would be judging him on his own merit. Being family doesn't make you alike, I knew that with the range in personalities with me and my siblings.

"Erin, I'm so happy to meet you," he said giving me a large smile.

"Nice to meet you as well."

"You are very attractive."

"Thank you, you aren't so bad yourself."

He smiled again. "So...something about me. I don't get sunburns. I can be outside in the sun without sunblock for hours and won't end up looking like a lobster."

"Well, that is a handy trait considering we'll be spending a lot of time outside."

"You, in a bikini, by the pool?"

"If you're lucky."

I laughed to myself as he walked up the steps into the house. I had a great mix of guys and I hoped they all got along. I remember all the fights the ladies got into when Hope was on the show, but in most seasons, the guys acted better and I don't recall many fist fights. I hoped that would be the case with the guys I have. Next to arrive was Silvan McBeth. He was from Scotland and I was eager to hear him talk. Men with accents just upped the sex appeal for some reason.

Bio:

Age 136
Silvan is a fairy from Scotland. He is a self-proclaimed reformed Casanova. He grew up in a small township and was considered the most eligible bachelor in town, only Silvan had no plans to settle down. His philandering ways caught up to him when he broke the heart of the daughter of the queen. Silvan was banished from his country when he refused to marry the princess. Realizing the error of his ways, Silvan wants to prove to the family he shamed, that he is ready to settle down and be a responsible adult.

His eyes. I'd never seen anyone with eyes so blue. They were stunning. The next were his wings, a very vibrant red. I knew from talking with Grace they matched a fairy's aura. His were the color of passion and after reading is bio, I would have to agree.

"Such a beautiful lass," he greeted kissing my hand.

That accent...yeah men with accents were sexy and I could listen to him talk all day.

"I expected you to have lost your accent having lived in the states for so long."

"My dear lady, I've lived all over, but my accent is the last bit of home I retain."

I had to stop myself from giggling like a schoolgirl.

"I must reveal some hidden fact?"

"Yes."

"I have had world-renowned chefs tell me I make the most succulent steak they've ever tasted."

"I 'd love to sample that one day. I would take mine rare of course."

"It would give me great pleasure to cook for you, just say the word."

He kissed my hand again before heading into the house.

All these guys, I was in heaven so far and still had four more to meet. Gabe Franklin was next to arrive. He was a firefighter. A man in uniform...yum. I had images of him shirtless in those suspender fire pants with a little dirt on his face. Hot!
