Idyllic Family: 12

So like most infants, Zach does not sleep through the night. Since Tony has to be up for work, Salina has to get up to care for her youngest son.

Since Mom is sleeping, Sam makes breakfast for the house. He didn't burn them so that's good. **I'm not sure what's up with his cooking skill. As a kid, that bar filed up twice, but even after cooking, it doesn't show he has any cooking skills still :( **

As you can see in the background, the house is a bit of a mess, Salina is slacking on her cleaning. LOL Tony is off to work and the kids are off to school. Zach is lonely and hungry so no more sleep for Salina.

She gets him fed, changed and played with before she starts in on her day. Food and shower are in order before she tackles cleaning the house.

Idyllic Family: 11

Tony gives Zach some much needed attention before going to work on his logic skills.

Today is birthday day for Sam, Tony, and Salina. Tony offers Sam congrats. So the scout thing I failed on. I think when I looked it up, there are 3 levels, but poor Sam never made it past level 1. :( Hopefully the other kids will fair better.

A little mother/daughter bonding time, followed by all the siblings enjoying invisible breakfast calzones together. LOL

The twins working on those logic skills before the party starts.

Idyllic Family: 10 (org. post 6/21/14)

***So this will be the longest of the updates. On the RWN forum I broke this up into 3 because it's a pain to put that many pictures in at once. For a blog is a bit easier. This is the last 'old' update and everything after this will be new game play.***

So today I'm sorting shot for both this challenge and my going solo one. I play and take pics then let them pile up. :/ I have 3 updates worth of shots for the Gardiner Family :)

We meet up with the family heading to the festival.

Luckily this time Tony doesn't have to help some poor sim, but they head to the library to read books to the twins and he gets called in to the office.

Sam is busy working on a novel. His LTW is master Illustrator so to max out writing and painting skills.

Tony gets home right around bedtime. He read to Sam while Salina puts the twins down.

Later that night it looks like the risky woo-hoo paid off!

So the house has undergone some renovations. Tony and Salina's room has been relocated to the other side of the house which was still empty. They now have a nice mater retreat away from the kids with their own attached bathroom. The nursery remains the same, but their old master bedroom has now been turned into a little girl's room.

The Gardiner house is alive with activity with two toddlers now.

Skill training is underway.

Poor Sam had to do homework on his own.

Trip to the library to work on getting the books read.

Tony home from work and jumps right in to help with parenting.

Salina still finds time to read to Sam.

Blooper shot. I had no clue stray dogs could just walk into the house like this, but this little guy made himself at home. LOL

Stats: Jay has completed the xylophone, is potty trained and can walk. Tanya has completed the peg box and is potty trained. 2 books have been read to each. Sam is level 1 of scouting and has an A in school, just hasn't hit honor roll standing yet.

Did a lot of playing yesterday. Will try to break up the updates. I did a little remodeling on the house. Updated the look of the nursery, and got rid of the bunk beds in favor of twin beds instead in Sam's room.

We'll start off with an unhappy Jay.

The life of caring for twins.

The happy couple trying to make time for themselves. They could have gone to the bed, or showers, but choose the igloo.

Tony is still a hands on father helping with the twins, and doing story time.

The twins really enjoy the swing.

Teamwork parenting! I just love them as a couple.

Even Sam gets in on the baby action, watching them while in the swing.

Salina is now baking awesome pies (THANKS NANCY!) The whole house got a positive moodlet from her apple pie.

Father/Son bonding time fishing. And of course...someone needs medical attention.

Back home, it's birthday time!!!

So Tony attended some medical conference and got an extra $19 per hour raise. As I posted earlier, Sam has level one of cooking done and since the bedtime story is the cookbook, he's almost done with level 2, but the skill still isn't showing under his journal. :( He has one fishing skill (had to take the class due to it being winter), but now that it's spring that second one should be achieved in no time. Salina has learned all the level 5 recipes.

Question, what is your life span for kids? Mine is normally 6 days, but I increased it to 10 so that he would have more time to get on the honor roll and do his scouting. Unfortunately, I still don't think that is enough time. He's only at level 1 of scouting, with 4 days to aging up and we are upon the weekend.

Idyllic Family: 7 (org. post 5/30/14)

Played some today. The happy couple.
Sam had his first day of school, Salina helped him with his homework.

Tony working on those handiness skills. The TV broke.

He's excited to be a big brother.

She's getting ready to read him a bedtime story, but the baby had other plans. LOL...Sam had the same reaction as his father...none.

Welcome baby Jay, born with the brave and loves the heat traits.
