I started this challenge on another forum I'm a member of: RWN and this was a group activity set up for other members to try. Since this is my catch all blog, I decided to post here as well since I want to finish out this challenge considering I came up with it.
With storytelling, I tend to not really play my game anymore, and I know I don't really interact much with my kids outside of skilling them as tots. So the Idyllic Family Challenge was born. Read through and let me know what you guys think.
Create two married sims in CAS and place them in a starter home. As they earn money and advance in their careers, they can move up to the next level family home.
Wife must be a stay at home mom, she can be self employed if you want, but it must be within the home.
Required traits: Natural cook, Neat, Family-Oriented
LTW--Surrounded by family
Must complete all the challenges for the cooking skill journal and learn all the recipes. **for those who have issues with WA unless there is a cheat to get those cookbooks don't worry about them**
Husband can be in any career you want, but must reach the top.
Required traits: Workaholic, Handy, and Ambitious
LTW--Which ever one goes with chosen career
Must reach top of career and complete all the challenges under the handiness skill.

Need to max out on the xylophone and block toy and of course learn to walk, talk, and go potty.
Kids
reach top of either scouts or ballet
Should earn A and get on the honor roll
should learn at least two skill levels for logic, fishing, writing, painting, and cooking.
Mom or Dad should read them to sleep each night.
Teens
Should join an afterschool activity and reach top
Should earn A and get on the honor roll
should learn to drive
Should continuing working on current skills and add at least 2 skill points for athletic, and 2 of a skill of your choice.
Each child should earn at least 1 college degree (if you have Uni) before they move out.
