Randomacy 3-And Baby Makes Three

Reed was a great big brother which is exactly what Eliza expected him to be. He was a tad overly cautious and every time Eliza groaned or something he thought she was going into labor. He kept a bag packed by the door ready to go to the hospital at a moments notice. Eliza had neglected to tell him she was planning on doing a home birth. She figured she'd cross that bridge when the time came. Both Eliza's pregnancy and garden were going well.

She was also making friends around town since sitting at home all day was not what she would call fun. Reed had lived in his house for almost a year yet he rarely talked to his neighbors. Eliza had settled into a routine of waking up to work in her garden before going out for a walk around town.

"Ow." She said grabbing her side "Look kid you are only renting the space, try not to do any permanent damage in there."

It took her a few more contractions before she realized she was in labor. She called her midwife who rushed over to help welcome little Bree Barclay into the world. Eliza waited until after it was all over to contact Reed who was at work. He rushed right home and couldn't even be angry with his sister when he held his niece in his arms for the first time. The siblings settled into a routine eventually to care for Bree.

Randomacy 2-Settling In

Sleeping in a real bed again was a luxury to Eliza. She has spent so long sleeping in tents on cots or in sleeping bags at the camps where she stayed. Having his sister back was good for Reed, but it did take some adjustments on his social life. He didn't mind, as the older brother (even if it was only three minutes) he felt it was his responsibility to take care of his sister when she needed him. While Reed was at work, Eliza spent time walking around the city exploring the sights. She found a lovely little art gallery that allowed patrons to paint for free should they be inspired.

Reed's house was kinda bland so creating art to hang on the walls felt like the right thing to do. For a man that worked out and talked about being in shape, Reed had poor eating habits so Eliza took on the responsibility of making sure he had a decent meal, or at least not so much take out.

"Hey Reedy." Eliza called out when she heard him come home. "I made mac and cheese for dinner."

"Thanks for cooking." Reed replied walking into the kitchen.

"How was work?"

"Well my bosses talked about openings in the astronaut training program today."

"Do you think you will get in?"

"Not this round, I'm still pretty low on the totem pole."

Over dinner they discussed Eliza's desire to get a job, she didn't want her psychic talents to go to waste, they needed constant training. Reed just smiled and nodded as she talked, then explained getting a job could wait until after the baby is born.

"Speaking of babies, did you make an appointment today?"

"No I don't need one, I feel fine. Besides women have been having babies without the interference of medicine since the dawn of time."

"Lizzie we talked about this. You promised you would go. Isn't bad aura or karma or something to go back on a promise?"

Reed using her thought process against her worked and Eliza agreed to actually go to the doctor. The check up went well.

The midwife said she and the baby looked fine. On the way home she stopped by a community garden. She may not be able to work, but growing an organic garden would help cut back on the grocery bill and provide much better food to cook with.

It would take some time, but since she was going to be put for a little while and loved being outside, a garden would help her feel more connected to Mother Earth. The midwife suggested a few books to read, so after watering the plants, Eliza headed to the library to see if they had the book.

There was an entire child development section so she was able to locate the one she was after. Eliza couldn't resist getting an ice cream when she saw the truck parked outside the library as she was leaving.

She enjoyed her fudge bar until she got a text from Reed. The vibrations scared her making her drop the ice cream. Having a phone was new for her, but Reed insisted in case she went into labor while he was at work.

"Oops. Maybe he won't notice the cracked screen." She said as she dropped the phone on the sidewalk. This pregnancy was making her a bit of a klutz it would seem. All in all, living the typical domestic type life wasn't all bad. Eliza felt she was settling in nicely.

Wishful Living 1.17

Well we join the McRae's with Noelle's neat trait taking a break. Nor has she felt the need to cook for the kids.

Nikita wants to be friends with Robbi Frey so I have her call to invite him over. While she's waiting she works on her homework. Maybe him coming over is a bad based on that thought bubble.

None the less he comes over and she starts rolling wants to flirt, and then to kiss him. Must make sure I keep my eyes on these two. No teen moms allowed.

While their teen daughter is making out with her new romantic interest, mom and dad have their own thoughts.

Randomacy 1-Surprise Visit

One would never know that Eliza and Reed were related let alone twins. Eliza has always been a free spirit choosing to let life take here where it wants to. Reed on the other hand was always very straight laced and disciplined. Eliza would have rathered watch the butterflies outside the windows at school while Reed would sit in the front of class scribbling notes and later doing the homework for both of them. When they graduated high school, Reed joined the military. He'd always know that was the life plan for him. Eliza on the other hand decided she wanted to use the money their parents had set aside for college to backpack across the country. Eliza would send Reed postcards but it was not unusual for her to go months without contact. The last one he got said she had found some long lost relatives on their mother's side and was getting in touch with their 'gypsy' heritage. Reed was surprised to see her standing on his doorstep about a month or so later.

"Lizzie? What happened? What's wrong?" Reed asked as he stood face to face with his sister whom he hadn't seen in over a year. She wore heavy make up  and her hair was dyed a bright blue color.

"Hello to you to." She replied giving him a hug before walking into the house. "And why does something have to be wrong? Why can't I just want to see my brother?"

Reed shut the door behind her as she took a seat on the couch. "Because two months ago you were enjoying life becoming a gypsy fortune teller and now you are at my house at near midnight. So I don't believe you were just in the neighborhood. How did you get here anyway?"

"I hitched of course. People are very friendly."

"And dangerous. A young woman hitching rides is never a good idea. I've told you this a hundred times. If you wanted to come see me I would have sent you bus fare."

"There is no adventure on the bus. And I made here safe and sound so no need to worry."

Reed groaned and rubbed his hand through his hair in frustration knowing it was pointless to argue.  "Fine. I have to be up early for work. I have a spare room upstairs. You can crash here for as long as the mood suits you."

Wishful Living 1.16

When we last left off Nelly had just aged up to a child. Her parents decided to celebrate in the manner they normally do and grossing out the kids in the process.

The siblings actually seem to like each other at times (well at least when Nikita isn't accusing them of being divas).

Nikita needed to work on her want to be friends with her dad and while that was going on, Noelle was out bonding with Nate.

Nelly wanted to get some of moms attention as well so she asks for a bedtime story. I love her insane trait as she changes into whatever. Tonight she sleeps in her everyday wear. She also likes to walk around in her swimsuit.

Winter is upon us and Noah wanted to hang holiday lights. I think the house looks very lovely.

Neal and Noelle continue to work on that next baby but so far no luck. Guess they just have fun trying. And Noelle has gotten back into gardening since she has time on her hands being toddler free at the moment.

She later is the victim of Nikita's prank. Still don't know what Nicole set before she left for boarding school, but Nikita got the successful prank moodlet.

I got this really cool pop up the next day.
I know I'm not supposed to direct them much, but they had to go out to celebrate their anniversary. Off to Mick's Karaoke they go.

Despite having the old lady in formal wear boo them, Neal gives his wife a big kiss after their performance. Then its upstairs to play a game at Neal's request. Afterwards he's in the mood for a little public fun.

Meanwhile downstairs a townie goes into labor in the bathroom.

All in all it was a great date (so the pop up said) and a nice way to enjoy that one year together. Warped EA time at work there considering they have 2 grow children, teens and school age kids all in that same year LOL.

It was time for Nadia to move out. She has a cute little starter home across town.

While the family was sleeping I panned out to check on my adult children and found Nadia out fishing at 2am in the snow. SP said that she and Tavares Helgason broke up and she is now dating Miguel Wong.

Also Naomi's little girl is now a toddler. So meet Brandee Oss. She got grandma's hair color (sorta) and her daddy's eye color.

Naomi and Edvin are expecting a second child, that will be 2 out of 5 of those grandbabies Noelle wants. I moved them into a bigger house because when I went to go check out their current home I found it was not big enough. They lived in a 2 bedroom 1 bath house with Edvin's mother. I guess Brandee had been sleeping on the floor as their was no crib to be found. The family's new house is large enough for them to grow into now. And the mother-in-law got to stay with them. :)

Neal earned $800 for the family fulfilling an opportunity to fix the lock mechanism at the police station. Also the family now are partners at 2 out of 3 businesses. The police station and the book store.

Not a lot of wishes were fulfilled this update because the ones locked in were all higher so couldn't really be cancelled out.
